I love showing the work of other young entrepreneurs. Today I'd like to introduce you to Chelsey who is a very talented makeup artist in Jackson, MS. She is very passionate about makeup artistry and views it as a way to express herself, free of restraints.
I love showing the work of other young entrepreneurs. Today I'd like to introduce you to Chelsey who is a very talented makeup artist in Jackson, MS. She is very passionate about makeup artistry and views it as a way to express herself, free of restraints.
Chelsey started taking makeup seriously late 2013. Compared to some she is very new to the industry! Although she has had no formal training she has learned everything through much practice and research. Chelsey’s first cosmetic job was Estee Lauder. Since then she has worked at Sephora, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and currently Maison Weiss.
Most of her clients know her for creating a "natural look", or what she calls “Nude Glam”. It's her trademark. This look goes beyond just "natural". It enhances what's there, and adds a dose of glam. This look isn't a carbon copy on each of her client's faces. She enhances the features that make you, YOU. That’s why she feels so many of her clients love the look. They still see themselves when she hands them the mirror. Pushing herself to push her business has been an exciting journey for her and she considers this as only the beginning!

Now that you know a little bit about Chelsey let me share with you a project we recently collaborated on. The idea originally started as a photoshoot but we decided to shoot video as well. If you know me you know I’m passionate about both so I’m always glad when I can do both for a shoot. The best thing about this shoot it that it allowed us to play around with a few ideas and concepts we have both wanted to experiment with.

Meet Dr. Natalie A. Mitchell, of Nataliemitchellspeaks.com, a marketing professor, researcher, speaker and voice actress.
Anyone that knows me knows that I love the idea of business, entrepreneurship and creating your own brand! Being a multiple business owner myself I love to see others reach out to attain their goals in business and in life. Often times my work allows me to meet some amazingly creative and talented people. Today I would like to introduce you to one of them!
Meet Dr. Natalie A. Mitchell, of Nataliemitchellspeaks.com, a marketing professor, researcher, speaker and voice actress. Recently I was hired by her to shoot some headshots for her brand in New Orleans. She has a particular interest in examining how luxury brand mentions in reality television impacts stigmatized groups. Natalie’s research has been published in the Journal of Public Policy & Marketing, Academy of Marketing Science Review, and Mass Communication & Society.
Her research has also been presented at domestic and international conferences including the American Marketing Association, Society of Consumer Psychology, Consumer Culture Theory, Transformative Consumer Research, Heretical Consumer Research, Public Policy & Marketing, Academy of Marketing Science, and Cross-Cultural Research conferences.
Guided by her research interests, Natalie enjoys teaching marketing classes and has taught graduate and undergraduate students at Tulane University and the University of Texas-Austin; and will be teaching at Merrimack College in Fall 2017.
Apart from her academic career, Natalie extends her voice as a brand storyteller to promote brands through narration, commercials, and e-learning. She has a professional, credible, warm voice as a brand storyteller that’s sure to connect brands with targeted audiences.
Serving the community is important to Natalie, too. She has provided mentorship and pro-bono marketing services to Young Leadership Council’s College Admission Program, As & Aces, XS Martial Arts Dojo, STEM NOLA, Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans, and Degrees of Separation, among others. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys live music performances. She's a Mint Condition super fan, loves southern rap music, travel, fluffy foods, and documentaries.
