Federal and state policy over the last decade has sought to overcome the long-term effects of substance misuse impacting individuals, families, communities, and those charged with resource allocation. Effective June 27, 2023, the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act, requires new or renewing DEA registrants to have completed a total of at least 8 hours of training in opioid or other substance use disorders and the appropriate treatment of pain.
This activity fulfills both the new MATE Act / DEA requirements and the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure requirements for prescribing CME. We hope that you find these presentations informative and helpful for your practices.
